The Clyde Brothers grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Rob is the oldest
and Ben the middle child of the five Clyde kids. They began making films the day
their parents brought home a hot, new, state-of-the-art VHS camcorder; but there
invaluable collection of funny sketch videos is now locked away somewhere in
their mom's basement. Both believe their creative imaginations were greatly
influenced at an early age from sitting through healthy doses of church and
television. And what they learned from both is that in order to connect with
people, you've got to be innovative, entertaining, and tell great stories. Based in
Los Angeles, the Clyde Brothers now work as a writer/director team in the world
of advertising and film. Their ability to create transmedia concepts that deliver
results have led them to work with clients such as Microsoft, Audi, Toshiba,
Adobe, Symantec, Xbox, Mattel Children's Hospital, NASA, Sun America, Baker &
Taylor Publishers and others.
The Older Brother
With a communications degree from George Mason University, Rob began his career as a radio host in Washington, DC that boasted almost 72 listeners. He then moved on to live event production and media marketing until he decided he could no longer work for "the man". So in '97, Rob started his own agency serving national clients with creative, copywriting and media production. Today he lives in South Pasadena with his wife, Avery and their son, Cayson.
The Younger Brother
Ben graduated from James Madison University with a finance degree that quickly proved useless. So he decided to attend the LA Film School where he studied writing and directing. He then spent 3 years as a producer/director for The Crawford Group before hitting the road to create documentary films supporting humanitarian efforts in the US, Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Zambia, and Namibia. Ben currently lives in Hollywood.
